In the context of contemporary art, what is your vision of a yet unknown art?

"The theory of art is like the Venus of Milo holding in her hands the head of the Victory of Samotracia"
--Luis Cardoza y Aragón

Art now suffers insomnia.

There is a physiological and spiritual need for dreaming. If we didn't dream, we could become crazy, or die.

Thousands of dreams are produced every night just to be forgotten the next morning. Entire cities where people meet are created overnight to fill the empty spaces of the encounters that didn't happen during daylight.

Dreams are for an individual what art is for a society. We artists know our profession, we manufacture dreams.

So we try to learn how to dream, we start reading about other peoples' dreams, and this is called "history of art" and we tell our dreams to experts on dream interpretation and this is called "theory of art".

At some point, we started to dream with our eyes open. To think rationally about the irrational. And as Goya said: the dream of reason produces monsters.

We "think" we are "dreaming". We try very hard. We are the insomniacs.

But the very first step to dream is to close our eyes. To close our eyes is to let our selves fall free.

If any of us manage to close his eyes, everything will be possible. This will open the doors to a yet unknown art.
