Body Browser 1.0
The Body Browser project is a web based interactive artwork that relies upon a rear RGB projection, a pc with Matrox G550 (dual head graphic adapter) RGB output, a 17" computer monitor (colour), MIMIO Virtual Mouse and a fast internet connection.
The intention was to create an environment where human body parts are domesticated into spaces on the World Wide Web.
The audience navigates this virtualised body by picking up a special pointer and pointing to a specific part of the body. The computer will then locate a web URL with a web name that corresponds to that part of the body, e.g. if the hair is clicked on, > visit me >>">www.hair.com then opens up in the web window next to the image of the man.
This work was exhibited at the Singapore Art Museum for Nokia Arts 2001, Cyberarts Exhibition, Dec. 2001.
