Lisa Moren integrates sculptural installations and performances with video and software; most often appropriated and accessable software. Her projects include "la_alma" - an interactive video installation; "Mirror, mirér" - an audio installation; "Interactive Hand Crème"; "Karaoke" - an interactive video installation; "Cinderella is Missing" - a chatroom intervention for tele-theater; "bare, stripped bride" - a video; and her current work in progress "drawing archives" - an interactive database of memories from former Eastern Berlin, Central Europe and New York using blueprints and graphite drawing as an interface.

She has lectured, exhibited and screened her work nationally and internationally for museums, galleries and festivals.

Lisa received her B.F.A. at Syracuse University/NY and an M.F.A. (1991) at Cranbrook Academy of Art, Mich. Her post graduate work includes the Banff Centre for Art (1991/1992) and the CRCA - Center for Research in Computing and the Arts, Calif. (1994/1995).

Lisa has also been in residence at STEIM in Amsterdam, Avatar in Québec and most recently within Central Europe including C3 Budapest; Mama in Zagreb; The Museum of Contemporary Art in Ljubljana, Slovenia; and FCCA in Prague (2001).

She has engaged in curatorial research on interactivity and intermedia including "CHAOS NEVER DIED: Relating with Active Technologies" with artist David Rokeby, and "INTERMEDIA: The Dick Higgins Collection" at UMBC - University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Lisa Moren has been the recipient of the Maryland State Arts Council and ARTSLINK CEC International, New York.
