BIOBIBLIOGRAPHY ........................... Barcelona/ *1961 Teaches art theory as a faculty member of the Universidad de Barcelona. Collaboration in many contemporary art books: "Teorias del arte" (1991), "Sobre la crítica de arte" (1996), "Naturalezas" (2000), "Interferencias" (2002), etc. - and in newspapers ("El Pais", "La Vanguardia") and special magazines. Martí Peran is director of the collections "Les Arts i els artistes" and "art-vs", published by the Universidad de Barcelona, and member of the editorial board of the magazine "Transversal". He has imparted workshops on art criticism at MACBA (Museu d'art contemporani de Barcelona), among others, and directed the international encounter "Present Continuous. Artistic production and reality" (2001 & 2002). He also directs the program for the interchange of contemporary art between the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona and other cities around the world. He has curated historical and contemporary art exhibitions and has developed a number of projects related with the idea of public art. Recently he has curated "Event Architecture", Espai Art Contemporani de Castelló (Minerva Cuevas, Jens Haaning, Stalker, KIT, Raimond Chaves, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Josep Maria Martin, Fabrice Hybert). |
