London/ *Canada 1966 Dr. Joanne Morra is Senior Lecturer in Historical and Theoretical Studies at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. She has published on Bruegel and translation; on Rauschenberg and skin / autobiography / indexicality / auto-eroticism; as well as texts on contemporary art and theory and film. She is presently working on a book on translation and the visual arts. Joanne is a founder of the cultural theory journal 'parallax' (1993; editor 1993-1998) and founder and principal editor of the new 'journal of visual culture', since issue 1/1, April 2000.
