Nebojsa Vilic, Ph.D., teaches as senior lecturer at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, University 'SS. Cyril and Methodius' in Skopje, Macedonia.
His professional interest varies from art criticism (more than 100 published texts; "Dossier 1994-9", 1997, Skopje: Horizons Unlimited Ltd.; "Few Candies for Venice. Art in Macedonia at the End of Millenium", editor, 1999, Skopje: Laurens Coster) through art theory ("States of Changes? Postmodernism and the Art of the Eighties", 1994, Skopje: Feniks; "N.O.A. - Reflections on New Object Art", 1996, Skopje: Horizons Unlimited Ltd.; "Anamorphosis. The Given Object in the 20th Century Art", 1998, Skopje: Horizons Unlimited Ltd.) to the theoretical interpretations of digital arts ("Eight Lectures on Art and New Technologies", 1998, Skopje: Museum of Contemporary Art; "Internet Art", editor, 1999, Skopje: SCCA-Skopje) and to the subaltern position of the cultures of the third world ("Chernobil_Iliya Chickan", editor, 2000, Skopje: 359°; "State_Irwin", editor, 2000, Skopje: 359°). He has curated over 30 exhibitions in Macedonia and abroad.
1986-1987, Nebojsa Vilic was editor-in-chief of the Art's Program at the Youth Cultural Center, Skopje; 1988-1997, assistant professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, University "SS. Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje; 1994-1998, director of the Soros Center for Contemporary Arts - Skopje. Since 1999, he is chairman of NGO "359° - Network for Local and Subaltern Hermeneutics" in Skopje.
