Janice Cheddie is Research Associate in Visual Culture at Goldsmiths College, University of London.
Her visual arts projects include "Translocations", Photographers Gallery, London 1997. Her film projects include "Go West Young Man" (1996) and "The Nation's Finest" (1990). She has published writings in Make, Third Text, Fashion Theory, "Desire By Design: Gender, Body Territory and New Technology", I.B. Tauris publishers, 2000. "The Will To Adorn" is a web based essay on the works of contemporary artists Yinka Shonibare, Zarina Bhimji, Susan Lewis and their use of clothes within their work (University of East London, African and Asian Visual Artists Archive).
