Soon after his birth, Jamy Sheridan began his travels through Europe, the U.S., Asia, and the '60s. Although he still travels regularly, Jamy is now slightly more settled in Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A. where he is member of the faculty of the Maryland Institute College of Art, teaching computer animation and developing additional computer-based art curricula. For the last decade, he has focused his artistic efforts on a series of real-time computer-based artworks that transform conceptual maps into meditative, off-screen, immersive experiences. He has also collaborated intensively with the artist/programmer John Dunn to develop new computer languages for artists which he uses in his own work. Jamy has lectured and shown his work in numerous venues in the U.S. and in Europe.
