Sharmini Pereira was born in 1970 in the UK. She graduated from Edinburgh University in 1992 with an M.A. in Art History and went on to complete an M.A. in Visual Arts Administration: Curating and Commissioning Contemporary Art at the Royal College of Art, 1995-1997.
