Irit Rogoff, born in Tel Aviv, holds a university chair in art history/visual culture at Goldsmiths College, London University. She writes extensively about conjunctions of critical theory and contemporary visual culture with particular interest in issues of cultural and sexual difference, post colonialism, geography and most recently, audience participation through art exhibitions.
